Fitness and Health go hand in hand. The more Physically fit you are, the healthier you are likely to be and the more FUN life will be. Exercise typically gets a much wider social circle of friends that want to get and do more because they have more energy.

Here are some REAL benefits that getting fit are LIKELY to bring:

  • You will have more chance of keeping a healthy weight and maintaining it as an adult
  • Your mood and outlook on life will be more positive
  • With a more positive attitude and through sport you are likely to have more friends
  • You will get stronger heart and lungs
  • Your cholesterol levels and blood pressure will be lower
  • Your risk of diabetes will reduce
  • You will have a better self image, self esteem & more self confidence
  • Strength training reduces injury risks, makes stronger bones and reduces body fat
  • Your sleep quality will get better
  • You will have higher energy levels

But exercise is hard work!

Only if you choose something you don't like! Choose things you find fun. This could be walking with friends, skateboarding, playing football, running, biking, rowing, boxing, dancing, windsurfing, swimming or just playing tag with your brother. Even 'exergaming' (playing tennis on the Wii) is better than sitting down watching TV.
