Healthy Nutrition for Kids
If you want to be healthier, fitter and grow and develop to you maximum capacity, it is really important as a child, for you to have a healthy, nutritious diet.
The key tips for a healthy, nutritious diet are:
- eat lean meat, nuts, legumes (beans, lentils etc.), oily fish, olive oil, low Glycemic Index whole grains (e.g. oats, pasta, brown rice), milk and yoghurts
- Avoid as much as possible processed foods (pre-prepared foods in tins and cans, pre-packaged foods and ready meals), refined / processed sugar (desserts, candy, sugar, energy drinks etc.) and saturated fats (e.g. fried fast food).
