Being able to spell correctly can really improve your reading and writing abilities. When you are reading, having this skill allows you to focus on 'reading comprehension' to further educate yourself. High literacy skill levels are the basis for improving many aspects of your life. Your school work will become much easier and also there are major benefits to your career prospects too! Poor spelling can really give out the wrong message to a prospective employer whilst a good standard of spelling aids communication and gives you the best chance of being understood.

It is important to work at your spelling so that your overall literacy level improves. A good level of spelling skills can really help in many ways, for example to:

  • improve reading levels
  • enhance job prospects
  • improve your general academic results
  • improve your self-esteem
  • speed up your written communications
  • improve your communication skills
